The European Commission published in 24 September 2019 the Energy statistics in the EU – Renewables in the lead, moderation of energy demand, yet economic growth

 

The above statistical facts and many more are available in the latest energy statistical pocketbook (2019 edition).

The statistical pocketbook on energy figures provides a summary of main statistical data for the EU as a whole and for each of its Member States on energy production and consumption, socio-economic indicators and the impact of the energy sector on the environment.  It also provides specific energy profiles for each EU country as well as details of progress towards the EU’s 2020 climate and energy targets.

The statistical pocketbook 2019 is available online, and the printed version will be available soon.
